Winter Shoes & Boots

Pakistani winters swing from a damp Lahore morning to genuine snow in Murree and the north — and a summer sneaker handles neither. This collection covers the range: insulated boots for the cold end, water-resistant high-tops for wet city streets, and lined casual shoes for everything in between.

Buying Winter Shoes in Pakistan

What separates a winter shoe from a regular one is three things: a closed, insulated upper that holds warmth in, a treated or water-resistant surface that sheds rain and slush instead of soaking it up, and a deeper-lugged outsole that grips wet tile and loose ground. Every pair here does at least two of the three.

For northern travel — Murree, Naran, Skardu, Swat — go for the ankle-height boots with the deepest tread. For city winters in Lahore, Islamabad or Peshawar, a lined high-top or a leather chelsea boot is warm enough without being overkill, and looks far better with everyday clothes.

Winter stock moves fastest between October and January, and sizes in the popular range go first. If you see your size in a boot you want, take it — restocks mid-season are not guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these winter shoes waterproof?

+

Most are water-resistant rather than fully waterproof — they shed rain, slush and light snow comfortably, but are not built for standing in water. Product descriptions state which treatment each pair has.

Which winter shoes work for snow in Murree or the northern areas?

+

Choose ankle-height boots with a deep-lug outsole and an insulated lining. These give you both the warmth and the grip that flat-soled city shoes lack on packed snow and ice.

Should I size up for winter shoes to wear thick socks?

+

If you plan to wear thick woollen socks regularly, going half a size up is sensible. For normal socks, stay with your usual size — a loose boot slips at the heel and causes blisters.

How do I care for leather winter boots?

+

Let them dry naturally away from direct heat, wipe off salt and mud before it dries in, and condition the leather every few weeks through the season. Drying boots on a heater cracks the leather.
